70 -- COLOR LASER COPIER SOL 8-4-4-05-45078 POC Contact Pamela White, GP25-0, 205-544-0337/Contract Specialist, or GP25-B/Contracting Officer NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for a color laser copier -- This procurement is being conducted under the NASA/MSFC MidRange Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy on April 16, 1993 -- Item 1, Canon CLC700, color laser copier with the following salient features: (a) Must have connectivity to be used as a 400 dpi color computer printer (in conjunction with the Fiery 150i PostScript Raster Image Processor below) -- (b) Must have connectivity to be used as a 400 dpi color scanner (in conjunction with the Fiery 150i PostScript Raster Image Processor below) -- (c) 8.5'' x 11'' to 11'' x 17'' print size -- (d) Full color 7 page per minute speed to letter size paper -- (e) 25% to 400% zoom range -- (f) Two-sided color output (via manual feed or 50-sheet bypass) -- (g) Transparency feed via cassette or bypass -- (h) Cover mode operation -- (i) Transparency interleaf mode operation -- (j) Ability to use up to 90 lb index card stock -- Item 2, Canon Image Editor F-1, with the following salient features: (a) Area designation - up to four areas -- (b) Features including framing, blanking, and area editing -- (c) At least three pre-set color palettes and at least one user-adjustable color palette -- Item 3, Fiery 150i PostScript Raster Image Processor, with the following salient features: (a) Networkable PostScript Raster Image Processor that is fully compatible with the above Canon CLC700 color laser copier -- (b) Ability to allow the above color laser to be used as a color scanner -- (c) Must have at least 64 MB RAM and a processing speed of at least 25MHz -- (d) Must have incoming/waiting (spool and print capability) -- (e) Must have 10Base-T Ethernet connectivity -- The existing equipment provides a totally Macintosh-based environment for production of graphics and text -- All equipment is networked using EtherTalk on 10 BASE T Ethernet cabling -- The proposed equipment must be fully compatible with PostScript Level 2, and must be supplied with the necessary postscript printer Description (PPD) files which will be used with the existing printer drivers (LaserWriter driver version 8.0 or later) -- All offers must include installation and integration within the existing environment -- FIPS-PUB 1-2, 16-1, 17-1, and 86, applicable as appropriate-- Delivery 60 days ARO -- F.O.B.
