(412)476-6571. Provide approximately 600 Personal Computers and
monitors based on the Intel Pentium CPU (or equivalent) operating at 90
Mhz (or higher) and ISA or EISA 16-bit AT-compatible bus structure. The
units shall be configured with one 3-1/2'' 1.44 Mbyte floppy disk
drives and controller, one SCSI removable disk drive and controller, 16
Mbytes of 64-bit memory, sockets for an additional 48 Mbytes memory
(minimum), and 200 Watt (minimum) fan-cooledpower supply. One serial
and one parallel ports are required. SCSI and videos adapters shall
utilize the PCI bus interface. Monitorshall measure at least 17''. A
keylock shall secure the keyboard. Minimum of 2 unused 16-bit bus slots
are required after configuration. The Ziff-Davis PC bench 8.0 and
WinBench 4.0 shall be used to confirm minimum performance and assign
additional point scores as specified in basis of award. Seller shall
supply on-site spare parts depot and labor, to facilitate on-site
warranty during the warranty period (minimum 90 days). FCC
certification and labelling is required for system unit, color monitor
and keyboard. Units must conform to all state, local and federal codes
governing personal computing equipment and peripheral equipment. Buyer
shall require that prospective suppliers provide an exact
demonstration unit of the equipment proposed to be
provided.Demonstration units may remain at the Bettis Site for up to 30
days after award of contract. All component equipment must be installed
and operated in accordance with original equipment manufacturer
recommendations and instructions. Discrepant equipment/configuration
shall be eliminated from further evaluations and returned to Seller.
Award shall be based upon point scores as determined by the
Westinghouse proposal evaluation committee. Factors to be considered
include: Compliance with specification, evaluation of demonstration
equipment, business management criteria, and price. Seller shall be
required to complete a Foreign Ownership, Control and Influence of
Contractor representation prior to award of contract. Seller's
submittal shall have to be deemed acceptable prior to order award.
Department of Energy security clearances are required for site access.
Only those suppliers that can provide a complete system and meet all
administrative requirements need apply. This solicitation is 100% small
