A -- TWO ISMS ESP MOORING LINES SOL N47408-95-R-0104 DUE 032795 POC Contract Specialist, CHERYL SCOTT CODE 2711-2, 805-982-3654 The Navy intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a contract on an other than full and open competitive basis with United Ropeworks, Montgomery, PA for the acquisition of two Intermediate Scale Measurement System (ISMS), Experiment Support Platform (ESP) mooring lines in support of the Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center's Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation Ocean Engineering mission. Through market research, United Ropeworks was identified as being the only supplier capable of fabricating the 2,500 foot, 1.45 inch diameter, high strength aramid fiber lines. Requests for the solicitation should be in writing only. The lines should be delivered no later than 31 July 1995. Detailed information will be included in the solicitation package.
