C -- ARCHITECT/ENGINEER SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN OF A NEW HOUSING UNIT, SEGREGATION UNIT, WAREHOUSE WITH LOADING DOCK, AND RENOVATION TO SUPPORT SERVICES AT THE FEDERAL CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION, LORETTO, PA POC: R. The Architect/Engineer (A/E) shall provide all design, support services for the bidding and construction administration services required for the expansion of the capacity of the institution by adding a new, masonry, 42 bed segration unit. Expansion design for approx. 2600 sq ft masonry to the existing food service facility and a new 19,000 sq ft, masonry warehouse with loading dock. The A/E will provide cost estimating, construction administration and techncial assistance services during the life of the contract. The estimated construction cost for this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. A geographical restriction of firms with offices located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has been established. Firms responding to this announcement are asked to submit SF-254 and SF-255 to the contracting officer noted above. Initial screening of firms will be based upon professinal qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of the services required. Evaluation factors, in descending order of relative importance are: comparable experience and performance, proposed project team and organization, firms capability and capacity, knowledge of locality and proximity to the project. This will be a firm fixed price contract. This is not a request for proposal. This is 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. No site visits are permitted during this selection process and no specific, technical questions will be answered during this selection process.
