Provide mitigation, terrestrial plantings on a berm (waterside of existing levee) located along the Feather River for the Sacramento River Flood Protection Project, Marysville - Yuba City Mitigation Area. Provide excavation for a 2.2 acre wetland and install and establish aquatic vegetation. Also install and establish terrestrial vegetation on 73.64 acres. Project area totals 75.84 acres. Terrestrial plants will include direct seed, pole cuttings and container grown seedlings. Provide graveled access road/firebreaks and continuous fencing around site. Work includes the removal of 10 acres of an existing tree orchard and the transplanting of 41 blue elderberry clumps from the vicinity of Marysville. The site is located 6 miles south of Marysville, CA. All of the above will be irrigated and weeded for three years. Proposals will be evaluated on technical and other related factors.
