The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Management Service (FMS) is performing market research to identify small businesses who are capable of providing maintenance for Cisco Systems, Inc. routers. Maintenance must include on-site remedial hardware maintenance, software maintenance, and technical support required for self-maintenance. The small business would be responsible for servicing eighteen AGS+/4 and four MGS/4 routers located in Hyattsville, MD; College Park, MD; Washington, DC; Austin, TX; Birmingham, AL; Chicago, IL; Kansas City, KS; Philadelphia, PA; and San Francisco, CA. On-site hardware maintenance must include: (1) performance during normal business hours within one business day after request, (2) all parts, labor and material required for remedial service, (3) critical hardware problem escalation, and (4) installation of all mandatory engineering and factory change notices. Software support must include: (1) major release software updates, (2) software maintenance release updates, and (3) documentation for major and maintenance software releases. Maintenance requirements for both hardware and software include: (1) access to a technical assistance number (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) and call-back within 1 hour during normal business hours, (2) electronic mail inquiries and responses, (3) new manuals when available, (4) access to a customer information on-line system, and (5) next-business-day delivery of replacement parts. The intended period of performance is from May 1, 1995 through September 30, 1995 with two one-year options.
