SHAFFER, (360)476-7265 Requirement is for the application of three coats of NRL-4B Epoxy linig in the collection, holding and transfer system (CHT) piping on board ship. Average coating thickness shall be 18 mils and the coating shall be fully crosslinked between coats. No mechanical devices of any description shall be run through the pipe. The air sand method is the only method to be used and is described in DOD STD XXX ''Epoxy pipe linig system for corrosion protection aboard Naval ships'', dtd 23 Nov 1993. All tests listed in the DOD-STD-XXX are required and none will be waived. This DOD Instruction shall be included in the solicitation. The contractor is responsilbe for disposal of all hazardous material. This is a 100% small disadvantaged business set-aside. Date(s) of performance: approximately one month, estimated time frame: 13 May through 13 June 1995. Exact times to be confirmed through the surveillance officer named in the solicitation.
