Y -- SPOT PAINT SPILLWAY BRIDGE, FORT RANDALL DAM, SOUTH DAKOTA SOL DACW45-95-B-0037 DUE 032395 POC Civil Branch, 402/221-4266, Contracting Division. The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) The removal of rust areas and surrounding lead base paint down to metal surface on the floor beams and miscellaneous metal of the bridge which is 1029 feet long. Damaged areas vary widely throughout the bridge range in areas of 1/2 foot to 10 feet in length. The bridge is approx 50 feet above the concrete weir and is accessible to most damaged areas by the catwalk. All damaged areas are to be repainted with 2 coats of paint, and 1 coat of primer. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $50,000 and $100,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a February 21, 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request and receipt of payment of $15.00 per set (non-refundable) with check made payable to ''Omaha District, Corps of Engineers.''
