Work to be performed includes, but is not limited to demolition of the existing transformer yard, modifying the existing Bldg 2311, relocating existing piping and conduit to accomodate new roll-up and steel doors; providing heating, ventilation, and welding fume exhaust system for the new shop area; providing power, lighting, sprinkler and fire alarm systems for the new shop and office areas; providing window air-conditioner for the office/training room, upgrading the existing lighting system of the shop area, constructing six welding-gas storage cubicles, extending the existing compressor roopm to accomodate back-up compressor and air-receiver tank, and extending the existing parking/loading paved areas. A firm-fixed-price contract is contemplated not-to-exceed the aggregate value of the lump sum and estimated quantity line items. The performance period is 180 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. IFB will be issued on or about 21 February 1995. The proposed procurement listed herein is restricted to small disadvantaged business concerns. Standard Industrial Classificatin code for this procurement is 1541.
