will enter a contract to provide support to the development and
verification of International Space Station Alpha (ISSA) hardware which
is involved with external inspection, maintainance, and repair. The
hardware includes on-orbit replaceable unit hardware being maintained
by the ISSA exteranl maintenance systems, tools used by the ISSA EMS,
logisitics hardware used for on-orbit transportation of ORU's, and EVA
worksite equipment. The design of the hardware must be compatible with
ISSA EMS, EVA crewman and the extra vehicular robotic system. Final
designs for above hardware will also be verified against ISSA program
requirements for external maintainance hardware. --n/a --The contract
will be on a time and materials basis. --All work will be performed
near the Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX. --Contract will be for 4
years ending approximately August 1999._This action is being done as a
modification to an existing contract. --Justification for other than
full and open competition is under the authority of 10USC2304(c)(1).
Contract to be entered into with Oceaneering Space Systems, Houston,
TX. The existing OSS experience, current testing activities, knowledge
of ISSA design and use of robotics form an expertise base that has
been determined to be not available from any other source in the
