J -- UNIT EXCHANGE/OVERHAUL NADIN EQUIPMENT POC Phyllis Townsley, Contracting Officer, (405) 954-7816 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for unit exchange and/or repair services of various items such as circuit card assemblies and power supplies, not inclusive, applicable to the National Airspace Data Interchange Network (NADIN) and the FAA NADIN IA Message Switch Network, FA-10003. Requirements include option provisions to renew for four additional 1-year periods. The proposed contract will incorporate FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services and FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 7629. These repair services are only known to be available from Digital Resources, Inc. (DRI), Wanaque, NJ, because they hold the data rights and repair specifications for these items which were originally designed and manufactured by North American Phillips Corp. The Government does not have the test capability, evaluation criteria, or technical documentation available to allow other sources to repair these items. To receive consideration as a potential repair source, any other concern must provide in writing a complete set of system specification drawings, all required standards and testing specifications, test plans, part lists, and proof of rights to use the data. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. If a concern is going to submit the above referenced documentation also provide name and telephone number of a point of contact to the procuring office listed in this notice with reference made to market survey file 76-0001, to arrive within 45 calendar days from the date of this publication. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further acquisition action by the Government. Any information received as a result of this announcement will not be provided to other contractors and will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government. (0032)
