United States Agency for International Development in Dakar,
USAID/Senegal intends to negotiate a contract with Morehouse School of
Medicine (MSM) under the Senegal Transfer of Technology Project. The
objective of the contract is to (1) increase the knowledge and
understanding of the Traditional Healers' Community, (2) develop
strategies and activities to reinforce cooperation between the
traditional and modern health practioners, and (3) include Traditional
Healears in the health care system of Senegal. USAID/Senegal intends
to negotiate on a sole source basis with MSM pursuant to the authority
of FAR 6.302-1. The total estimated amount of this contract will be
approximately U.S. dols 245,000 with an open unpriced option to extend
