AASF Hangar Addition and Alteration, Davison U.S. Army Airfield, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The work consists of but not limited to the construction of a new aircraft hangar facility and alterations to the existing facility. The proposed building consists of a hangar space, ancillary maintenance shops, welfare areas, operational offices, and storage spaces. The building will be primarily of masonry construction. The project will include site work, demolition, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. The Standard Industrial Classification for this project is 1542, small Business size standard is not more than $17M average annual revenue for the previous three years. Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Interested concerns should as early as possible, but not later than 15 calendar days after publication of this notice, indicated interest in bidding as a prime contractor on the project, evidence of capability to perform including references for similar work with contract numbers, points of contact, and telephone numbers, and if appropriate a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. In addition, dollar amount of current construction bonding capability is required. The Contracting Officer will utilize the information received to make a decision to issue this solicitation as set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) or as ``Unrestrictive'' without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all interested business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. Replies must indicate the firm's size status such as large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, or 8(a). A firm fixed price contract is expected. Plans, specifications, bid documents, and bidder's mailing list must be requested in writing by prime contractors.
