The FAA Technical Center has a requirement for a Rate Table System manufactured by Contraves, Inc. The Contraves Rate Table System utilizes a direct drive, high torque motor system with feedback servo loop for absolute stability as required in low sensitivity accelerometer testing and calibration. Peak torque - Ft/lbs; Max. speed - 10,000 DEG/SEC; Peak acceleration - 955 DEG/SEC.; Number of Slip Rings - 27 @ 1 AMP; Rate Resolution - 3 @ 5 AMP's; Computer Interface IEEE 488 - Digital Controller capable of rate and acceleration modes via external computer, or front panel. All responsible sources may request a copy of this procurement package. Requests for said package shall be made in writing and showing proof of the prospective bidder's ability to provide the items that meet the above mentioned specifications. All such requests shall be received at this office no later than February 22, 1995. In the absence of interested parties for this procurement, it is the Government's intent to negotiate a contract with Contraves on a sole source basis for the provision of the above mentioned system.
