be considered must have demonstrated design, prototyping, and
manufacturing capability in laser and electro optical systems. Vendor
must have current laboratory equipment capability and experience in
laser-induced plasma spectroscopy research. Interested firms should
respond within 30 days of publication with both a written request for
clarification of information (if needed) and a written statement of
qualifications to include the following: (a) Years in Business, (b)
Scientific Staff (number and pertinent resumes), (c) Picture of LIPS
Experience Facility, (d) Current Product Literature, (e) Research Floor
Space, (f) Production Floor Space, (g) In-house Machine Capability, and
(h) Major research instruments on-hand (Laser, Optics, Oscilloscopes,
Spectrometers, etc.). NOTE: Beryllium is a toxic material. OSHA
regulates beryllium and beryllium compounds by the following
requirements: 1. An employee's exposure to beryllium or beryllium
compounds, in any eight-hour shift of a 40-hour week, shall not exceed
the eight-hour time-weighted average (TWA) permissible exposure limit
(PEL) of 2 micrograms of beryllium or beryllium compounds per cubic
meter of air (2 micrograms/m3); 2. An employee's exposure to beryllium
or beryllium compounds shall not exceed at any time during an
eight-hour shift the acceptable ceiling concentration of 5
micrograms/m3 except for a maximum peak of 25 micrograms/m3 for a
maximum of 30 minutes.Do not provide costing information in your
