description: a. R-Architect/Engineer Services, Indefinite Quantity
Civil/Structural A & E Contract at the Naval Air Station, Brunswick,
ME. Projects may include but are not limited to the following: Project
No. 1 - Construct Right Turn Lane - Route 24, Scope of work - The
engineer shall provide design services for constructing an 11' wide
right turn lane South on Route 24 for traffic entering Navy Housing
Area at Antietam Street. The work also includes bid documents and all
required coordination, permits, tees, etc with state and local
authorities. Subject to necessary changes, the total annual A/E Fee
that may be paid under this contact will not exceed $200,000. Selection
criteria: (1) Specialized Experience of the firm in the type of work
required; (2) Professional capacity of the firm to accomplish the
contemplated work within the required time limits, (3) Professional
qualifications of staff to be assigned to this project, (4) Past
experience, if any, of the firm with respect to performance on
Department of Defense Contracts, (5) Cost control effectiveness, (6)
Location of the firm in the general geographical area of the project.
d. A/E Firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement
are invited to submit completed standard forms 254 (unless already on
file and 255, U.S. Government Architect-Engineer Qualifications, to the
Officer in Charge, NFA Contracts, Naval Air Station, Brunswick, Maine
04011-5000. Firms responding to this announcement with the submittal of
a SF 255 by 19 March 1995 will be considered. Respondents may
supplement this proposal with graphic material and photographs which
best demonstrate design capabilities of the team proposed for the
