Specialist, (202) 324-5723. The FBI, Criminal Justice Information
Services (CJIS) Complex located in Clarksburg, West Virginia requires
the services of firms proficient in providing engineering design,
integration and installation of complete security systems. Responding
companies shall be able to program a central monitoring unit and
integrate all security hardware to form a complete functional system.
an electronic security system is defined as an integrated system which
encompasses interior and exterior sensors, closed circuit television
systems for assessment of alarm conditions, electronic entry control
systems, data transmission media, and alarm reporting systems for
monitoring, control, and display of various alarm and system
information. Interest is directed to utilizing commercially available,
off the shelf equipment, some of which may be Government Furnished
Equipment (GFE). This equipment must have the ability to interface with
a ''state of the art'' monitoring system. Furthermore, it is desired
that the system interface with the main building to all other buildings
within the CJIS complex, including fire alarms and building management
systems. Due to the level of security assigned tothe electronic
security system specifications, contractors interested in receiving the
RFP, must be organized and exist under the laws of any of the fifty
states located in the United States or trust territory. The contractor
must supply the following information in their request for the
solicitation:the company's name and address with their current
company's past projects which would be similar to the systems
requirements outlined above and the client for whom the systems were
installed. Potential contractors and subcontractors are required to
possess Defense Investigative Service (DIS) facility and personnel
clearances at the SECRET level or be capable of being cleared by DIS
prior to contract award. The potential contractor/subcontractor can
start clearance procedure by submitting the SF-86 and two FD-258 forms
for each company officer and major contributor to the proposed design
of the security system. These forms shall be submitted to the CJIS
Construction Management Team. Only companies that can supply a complete
and functional system shall be considered. A firm fixed price contract
is anticipated. Interested parties have 15 days from the date of
publication of this synopsis to request a copy of the solicitation.
