D -- FIP SUPPORT SERVICES NECESSARY TO MIGRATE THE DOD REPOSITORY FROM POWER COMPUTER CORPORATION VAX COMPUTER TO THE CORPS' CEAP PLATFORM Due 021695. POC: Laura E. The Government intends to award a firm fixed-price contract with Power Computing Corporation (PCC) for FIP Support Services required to gain access to the PCC VAX computer in Dallas, Texas. Access to this computer is necessary to migrate the DoD Repository from VAX to the Corps' CEAP Platform. The contract will require VAX processing services to include disk utilization, communications and computer CPU time only. No other support services are required. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended schedule vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. (033)
