L -- TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL SERVICES FOR GOVERNMENT OWNED TELELIFT AUTOMATIC BOX CONVEYOR SYSTEM. SOL 263-95-P(GE)-0113 POC Wanda F. Russell, Contract Specialist, (301)402-3085. The telelift system is located at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland and is estimated as a 50 station system. This requirement shall consist of the following as needed: 1)trouble shooting, testing, and correcting any of the Telelift system's components; 2) performing maintenance (when NIH maintenance personnel are backlogged), parts installation, and technical upgrading services; and 3) providing parts for repair, replacement or upgrading of the system. Offeror shall also, once a year, evaluate the NIH maintenance or operations performances (which includes guides, records and over-the-technician's - shoulder evaluations), and demonstrate proper corrective actions for any deficiences identified. Offeror shall maintain an on going technical information exchange with the NIH program staff to keep them aware of technical upgrades, parts changes and new maintenance procedures. Offeror shall provide a Technical Report (following each visit to NIH) which summarizes the results of each visit, plus any other services performed or parts purchased since the previous report. All services are to be performed by an automatic box conveyer engineer or technician experienced with/on the telelift system. Under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the NIH intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Teleengineering, Inc., of Newfoundland, NJ for a period of one year with four one-year options starting the date of award of the contract.
