N -- ENERGY SAVINGS PERFORMANCE PROJECT SOL DADA10-95-R-0047 DUE 050595 POC Contracting Officer, Craig Stark, (210) 221-9433 The U.S. Army Medical Command, Central Contracting Office, intends to procure energy savings performance projects at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. and Fort Detrick, Maryland. This energy savings performance project will include lights, chilled water systems, fan motors, pumps, weatherization, and other energy conservation measures that are deemed appropriate. The contractor will be required to furnish, at no capital cost to the Government, all management, labor, material, equipment, and operation and maintenance services required to achieve the desired savings. The installed equipment will remain the property of the contractor until final payment is made. Payment for services will be made from the existing utility funds and the resulting energy cost savings. The term of the contract is limited to 25 years and is authorized by the Energy Policy Act of 1992. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about March 6, 1995. Offers will be due on or about May 5, 1995. A pre-proposal conference will be held. This will be an indefinite quantity type contract. This requirement is restricted to those firms included in the 1995 Department of Defense pre-qualified list for energy savings performance contracts as published by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
