ELECTRONIC COMMERCE AND ELECTRONIC DATA INTERCHANGE (EC/EDI) TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM AND OUTREACH The Sacramento Chapter of AFCEA in conjunction with the Department of Defense Acquisition Reform Office are building a west coast awareness program for government procurement agents and interested commercial vendors. On 18 and 19 May 1995, AFCEA will be conducting a technical symposium with interested industry representatives at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Sacramento California beginning at 0800 each day. The purpose of the session on 18 May is to present a government perspective of EC/EDI at federal, state and local Air Force levels and to provide technical presentations on options available for implementing access to EC/EDI. The purpose of the 19 May session is to provide Outreach and Training from the DOD Acquisition Reform Office on accessing and implementing the DOD version of EC/EDI. This will be the only west coast session of this training to be offered by the DOD. A fee for the sessions will be charged.
