The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for an Automated Enzyme Immunoassay (ELISA) Plate Processor. New and sensitive assays designated as enzyme-linked immunoassays (ELISA) are currently being employed to measure a variety of biochemical components within bronchoalveolar lavage and lung tissue extracted samples recovered from pollutant exposed animals. In order to meet future demands, an ELISA plate processor is being requested which has the ability to automatically process conventional ELISA 96-well plates as well as read and analyze ELISA results. This procurement will be processed under full and open competition; however, SIC No. 3826 applies and the size standard is 500 employees. This is NOT a small business set-aside. The solicitation will be issued approximately 3/3/95. Proposals will be due approximately thirty (30) days after the solicitation issuance date. Interested parties may obtain a copy of the solicitation by submitting a written request. A limited number of copies are available. Only one copy shall be issued to a corporate entity, regardless of the number of requests from one or more different geographic locations. Copies will be issued on a first come, first serve basis. Firms must identify their size status when requesting a copy of the solicitation. Firms who fail to do so shall be considered large businesses. A copy of the preliminary source list will be issued to all prospective offerors along with the solicitation. A separate request is not necessary.
