The Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) and the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPNS) located at China Lake and Point Mugu, CA, White Sands and Albuquerque, NM intends to enter into negotiations on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis with Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI), 11845 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064. The requirement is for consolidated software maintenance to support SGI-owned software products presently installed, or that will be installed on SGI hardware systems acquired for the following NAWS and NAWCWPNS sites, China Lake and Point Mugu, CA and White Sands and Albuquerque, NM. The period of performance for this contract is estimated at six months with two one year options. Services to be negotiated shall include the following: The right to use software updates for licensed software products; telephone assistance regarding software problems; software updates, manuals and status bulletins; right-to-copy maintenance service. This Other than Full and Open Competition is based upon the requirement for support of software programs that are copyrighted and proprietary to SGI.
