70 -- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION REGARDING THE ACQUISITION OF AN ON-LINE DATABASE SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE POC Ona M. Bellino, Contracting Officer, (505) 845-6156. The U. S. Department of Energy, Albuquerque Operations Office is requesting information on an on-line database subscription service to the FAR, DEAR, FIRMR, DOE/AL Orders, CFR Titles, OMB, and Federal Records Management Regulations. Please provide the following information in your responses. 1)What hardware (platform and peripherals) and software (operating software and search engine) is required to use this on-line database, 2) What is the availability of the documents to numerous, simultaneous, on-line users, and can parts of it be stored in a user defined library, 3)Is there full current text of each document available, 4)What capability is available for text searching and retrieval of any or all parts of a document, 5)What capability is available to print any or all parts of a document locally, 6)What kind of training is available to become a successful user, 7)What kind of customer and technical support is available, 8) What kind of scheduled/periodic maintenance is available for updating the subscription, and in what media format, 9)What documentation is available such as installation manuals, reference manuals, user guides, system management guides etc.,10)What conversion tools are available for converting existing databases. All interested parties may submit technical and pricing information for evaluation to the below named individual prior to the closing date of January 30, 1994. This is a request for information only, no solicitation document exists at this time. There is no guarantee that a formal request for proposal or acquisition will be forthcoming. No telephone responses will be accepted, however, written responses should be addressed to the attention of Barbara Schrank, DOE AL Information Resources Management Division, (IRMD), P. O. Box 5400, Albuquerque, NM 87185-5400. The assigned Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this requirement is 7375 with a corresponding size standard of $18.0 million. Firms responding should indicate whether or not they are a small business, small disadvantaged business, or 8(a) business in accordance with the referenced SIC Code.
