This advertisement is for design services to remodel a 23,000 sq. ft. facility located at 1984 Howell Mill Rd., Atlanta, Georgia. The project will be to convert a Big Star Grocery Store to a Post Office and will include asbestos and lead paint abatement, new HVAC, plumbing and a full Postal Retail Store at an estimated construction cost of $1,800,000. The design contracts will consist of design, preparation of drawings, specifications, and proposal documents. The selection will be conducted with the combined use of the submitted SF255 and SF254s. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on its SF255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Consideration will be given to the firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with the following order of preference: (1) Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Area, (2) State of Georgia, (3) Out of State. There is no restriction on the geographical location of consultants. Firms that possess the qualifications to perform the services described above are invited to submit two (2) copies each of completed SF255 ``Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project'', SF254 ``Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire'' for itself and SF254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above, by close of business on February 27, 1995. Firms must provide proof of or demonstrate the ability to obtain errors and omissions insurance, minimum of $200,000 per claim, with submittals. Participation of minority business enterprises is a consideration in U.S. Postal Service architect-engineer selections. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon, or resulting from, award of this contract.
