Kedney, (310)824-4358 The VAMC West Los Angeles intends to procure on a sole source basis an Automated Drug Control System from Lionville systems. The system must contain the following characteristics: a. Consist of three console storage cabinets and a host computer. b. Size range is 2'x 2'x 4' to 3'x 3'x 5'5''. c. Allow only authorized personnel access. d. Two types of acces. One for restocking and one for issuing and returning meds. e. A minimum of 25 programmable metered drawers in each consol. f. A maximum of four bulk drawers which are not metered. g. The metered drawers will dispers the exact number of doses requested. h. Each drawer will be of various size and shape to accommodate unit dose and multi-dose meds. i. Each console is to have an area for returning of unused meds. j. The console must have a touch screen monitor and an easy to us keyboard. The keyboard shall have a mossture barrier to protect from spills. k. The touch screen security system must be tied to a pin number. l. Each console shall have a printer and be capable of printing usage and a report on stock status. m. Inventory levels must be be updated automatically. n. The three consoles must network with the host computer. o. The host computer must restrict access to it to authorized operators only. p. The host computer system must be able to print medication utilization, transaction reports, and inventory levels for each console. q. The software of the automated Drug Control System mustinterface with the VA Decentralized Hospital Computer Program (DHCP) and comply with HL-7 standards. r. The configuration of each must be able to be modified by the user if required. Any interested vendor who may be able to furnish the referenced system and wants to obtain a copy of our solicitation must submit that requrest in writing with their complete name, address, phone number, fax number, and a point of contact.
