Hospital Aseptic Management Systems (HAMS) Service at USAF Hospital, Nellis AFB, NV. The requirement involves providing a total asepsis management system for general and critical care areas which incorporates the latest technology concepts concerning housekeeping's role in the control of hospital acquired infection. The system must include comprehensive procedures and training manuals and an affective quality control program for the work to be performed. The offeror, as a firm, must have managed and performed a complete HAMS program for 24 months within the 36 months prior to date established in the request for proposal (RFP). The 24 months may be at a maximum of two (2) sites and shall not be concurrent. This experience must include management and performance of aseptic services in surgery (pre-post case, end of day) recovery, labor and delivery areas, such as intensive and cardiac care units, emergency, oral, surgery, cystoscopy rooms, cardiac catherization labs, isolation rooms, and central sterile supply. The Director of Housekeeping must meet specific training requirements as stated in the Performance Work Statement. All proposals meeting the experience requirements will be evaluated by a Technical Review Board chaired by the USAF Surgeon General's office. The Period of Performance is 1 Oct 95 through 30 Sep 96 with four (4) one-year option periods. RFP F41622-95-R0026 will be issued approximately 10 Mar 95.
