202/273-2700. This is a notice of intent to place a delivery order
against Telcom Systems and Services' GSA telecommunications schedule
contract #GSOOK-94-AGS-0498 for a 9751 Model 10 Rolm Computerized
Branch Echange (CBX). This system will be installed in the new annex
building to the main courthouse in Des Moines, Iowa. This system will
provide transparent networking functionality to GSA's current network
of Rolm 8000 CBX' in Des Moines. The digital current network of Rolm
8000 CBX' in Des Moines. The digital system will be full turn-key
installation for voice communications and will be equipped to provide
direct interfaces to the local exchange carrier, commercial long
distance carriers, and the FTS2000 long distance network. The system
will also be equipped to provide for the direct connection of digital
services such as T-1 and ISDN-PRI and will operate the following
court-owned telephone terminal equipment: 2 ea RP120 phones; 52 ea RP
240 phones; and 2 ea RP 400 phones. The factory authorized Rolm
contractor shall provide the following: 1 ea. 26614M; 1 ea 26615, 5 ea
25541; 5 ea 25544; 2 ea 25653; 1 ea 10054; 35 ea 4700TB; 35 ea
47100TA; 1 ea 13061; 1 scout TMS system; 1 ea. PHML
installation/training with user training for 50 users and systems
administrator training for 1 user . All labor required for the turnkey
voice installation shall also be provided. Telcom Systems and Services
shall make available on-site general user system training for all court
employees; systems administration training for selected personnel;
general user and administrator training for all system adjuncts;
general user guides, system administrator manuals, and system technical
manuals and practices. All equipment will be under warranty for one
year from time of cutover. Telecom Systems and Services will also
provide maintenance and services. Interested parties which have the
capabilities to furnish the required items and services must submit in
writing, the firm's capability details, detailed product
specifications being offered, related pricing information, warranty
conditions, and delivery terms and conditions. Responses must include
a statement that the items required shall be furnished to the
Government under terms and conditions substantially the same as those
of the GSA Telcom Systems and Services Contract. In addition, offerors
must show evidence of the current manufacturer's (Rolm) system
installation/maintenance t3chnical certification for the 9751 CBX
system. Responses will be evaluated on the ability to meet the required
specifications. This is a notice of intent to place an order against a
GSA Schedule 58 Contract and is snot a request for competitive
proposals. No solicitatio document exists. Information received will be
considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not it is
adavantageous for the Government to conduct a competitive procurement.
If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published.
A determinatin by the Government not to compete this delivery order is
solely within the discretion of the Government. Submisions must be
