The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC) intends to acquire competitively two (2) asynchronous transmitter/receiver units and nine (9) asynchronous channel interface modules. These components combined establish an asynchronous multiplexer/demultiplexer system that provides the interface to digital microwave radio transmission media for the multiplexing and demultiplexing of digital telemetry/video signals of various data rates into a standard DS3 aggregate bit stream. The system transmitter/receiver units shall be rack mountable and powered at 120 VAC. The interface modules shall be used with a capacity of accepting/outputting the data signals at a rate of 13 kb/s to 35 Mb/s. The system shall be microprocessor controlled, providing diagnostic and performance monitoring through the use of a personal computer and incorporating menu-driven software for rapid reconfiguration of the interface modules.
