This major volume will be organized chronologically and cover the procurement and technical evolution (through the "current or final model) of twenty-five postwar USAF transport aircraft. The contractor selected for this study will be expected to research all relevant information related to these aircraft and wite an unclassified book-length study of approximately 250,000 words, double spaced in typescript, divided among twenty-five chapters. Each chapter will feature one of the aircraft and be approximately 10,000 words in length, excluding tables and illustrations. Because research in classified sources is required, offerors must have a secret security clearance. The antticipated period of performance is a base period and four option years and the applicable SIC code is 8999.
