period of twelve months from the date of award, provide full
maintenance, emergency services, inspections et al of Government-owned
refrigeration and air conditioning equipment located at the U.S. Army
Natidk RD&E Center, Natick, MA. Contract will include provision for
extension of the period of performance up to a maximum of two years.
The Contractor shall be responsible for maintenance and/or replacement
as needed of all air conditioning and refrigeration components
including, but not limited to drive belts, oil, refrigerant, filter
driers, air filters, condensors, compressors, evaporators, valves,
electric motors. Approximately 192 refrigerators / air conditioners in
total will be maintained. Examples of the units to be maintained
include but are not limited to: walk-in freezers/refrigerators from
one-ton to seven-ton; air dryers / dehumidifiers; air conditioners and
air handlers up to fifteen tons; heat pumps; and other similar
equipment. Equipment manufacturers for the items to be maintained
include: Bevergair, Brunner, Carrier, Coldwave, Copeland, Curtis,
Franke, Hankison, Johnson, Jordon, Liebert, Linskey, McQuay, Sanyo,
Scottsman, Skil-Aire, Trane, Weber, and York, amoung others. The Army
reserves the right to consider a small disadvantaged business set-aside
based on the responses hereto. Interested firms are requested to submit
within 15 days following the publication of this synopsis, information
on their previous related experience, personnel resumes, list of
facilities, and any other specific information the firm believes
demonstrates it's ability to perform the proposed work. Firms
responding shall indicate whether or not they are a small or small
disadvantaged business concern. For the purpose of this requirement,
any concern with an average gross annual income of $5,000,000 or less
