R - Provide short-term, temporary, sign language/oral interpreting services for communication access for employees who are deaf or hard of hearing. The interpreters must be on call to meet emergency situations, e.g., to provide coverage when a staff interpreter is ill or otherwise incapacitated and other staff interpreters cannot provide interpreting services. The contractor must be able to provide interpreter for assignments within one working day of notification. Interpreters must be able to transmit spoken English into conceptually accurate signed English, American Sign Language, or Oral Interpretation. They mus also be able to translate conceptally accurate signed English, American Sign Language, or Oral communication into spoken English. A one year fixed-price requirements type contract is contemplated. Projected issue date: February 23, 1995 and closing date is March 27, 1995.
