Additionally information is provided below. Restore various ILS shelter
and shelters for the Outer Marker at Mt. Comfort Indiana Airport, the
Glide Slope at Indianapolis International Airport, and ILS shelters at
the Indianapolis International Airport, Indianapolis, Indiana in
accordance with the specifications. The scope of work includes, but is
not limited to: Removal of existing floor covering (the existing floor
tile to be removed may be of the vinyl asbestos type requiring special
removal and disposal actions); Repair cracks in existing fiberglass
shelters; Remove and replace exterior door, prepare and paint existing
and new door frames, install hardware, install new weather-stripping;
Remove and replace the existing plywood subfloor; Install new rubber
floor tile; Restore any damage to work site resulting from construction
operation. Price range for this project is between $25,000.00 and
$50,000.00. The issue date is on or after February 24, 1995. The
estimated bid opening date is on or about March 24, 1995. This
solicitation is open to both Small and Large Businesses. FOR MINORITY,
WOMEN-OWNED AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Department of
Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women owned, and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 Million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending
Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00. For futher
