Provide grit, blasting, abrasive, coal slag, U.S. standard screen numbers 40-120, grit size 70 (fine particles), sieve size opening to be .0165'' - .0049''. Shall be I.A.W. with spec MIL-A-22262A, QPL-22262-15. Abrasive blasting grit, coal slag, size 40, I.A.W. MIL-A-22262A, dated February 6, 1987, and amendment 2 dated February 14, 1989, QPL 22262-16, dated February 12, 1993. Procurement of blasting grit other than what is requested, or variances of sieve sizes over 80 grit fine particles are not acceptable. Previous history has shown that procurement of this grit material with higher sieve sizes was too fine for end application. Award will be a requirements type contract for the base year with two option years for an annual requirement of 200-300 tons of size 70 grit and 3000-4000 tons of size 40 grit. A material safety data sheet is required with each delivery. Services will be implemented through individual delivery orders. Grit to be delivered to the U.S. Coast Guard YARD, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD, 21226-1797. Delivery is to be made by a pneumatic tank truck. See Numbered Note 1.
