The Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for a thermoluminescent dosimetry (TLD) system for the measurement of gamma exposures in the environment. The system shall be composed of an automatic TLD reader with a glow curve output, magazine to hold TLD's being processed, TLD dosimeters appropriate for use in measuring low gamma exposures, and software to evaluate the TLD data and perform quality assurance functions. The system will be used in a mobile emergency response van with limited space. Because of the intended use in a mobile laboratory, the system cannot be dependent upon the use of pressurized gas cylinders. The RFP will be issued approximately April 1, 1995 and proposals will be due 30 days later on May 1, 1995. The Government anticipates a firm, fixed-price type contract. Interested parties may obtain a copy of the solicitation by submitting written request. Telephone and FAX requests will not be honored. A limited number of copies are available. Only one copy shall be issued to a corporate entity, regardless of the number of requests from one or more different geographic locations. Copies will be issued on a first come, first serve basis.
