The U.S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific proposes to contract for Dry Dock and Vessel Repairs of USCGC Polar Sea (WAGB-11). Performance will commence for the Polar Sea on 12 June 1995 and complete on 15 Sept 1995. The major elements of work are as follows: 1) Drydocking, 2) Tailshaft removal and bearing inspection, 3) Overhaul saltwater valves, 4) U/W Body preservation. The solicitation will be issued on or about 27 Feb 1995; the anticipated Bids will be due 10 Apr 95. All responsive/responsible sources will be considered.
