COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF FEBRUARY 9,1995 PSA#1280``CAPSULE AEROTHERMODYNAMICS'' COURSE The Fluid Dynamics Panel of the
Advisory Group for Aerospace Research and Development (AGARD) in
conjunction with the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics will host
a Special Course on ``Capsule Aerothermodynamics'' from 20-22 March
1995 at the Von Karman Institute, Rhode-Saint-Genese, Belgium. The
course objective is to provide information on capsule
aerothermodynamics as a result of renewed interest in this area
stemming from the Huygens probe, Intermarsnet for Mars exploration and
the Mercury Orbiter. The course will cover design aspects related to
low L/D configurations, critical phenomena occurring during flight
regimes, the impact of real gas and rarefaction on capsule
aerothermodynamics relative to forebody and wake flows, and
computational and experimental capabilities to assess plume
interaction, base flow, ablation, radiation, transition and dynamic
derivatives. For further information, contact the AGARD National
Coordinator, Lt Col Stephen Marino at 703-602-7358, or fax to
703-607-3158 or e-mail to MARINOS@SAF-IA.HQ.AF.MIL. This is a
correction to the notice published 2/8/95. The course will be held from
20-22 March 1995. Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0659 19950208\SP-0008.MSC)
