Y -- OPERATIONAL BARRICADE BUILDING 3-05-1/RENOVATE BUILDING 100-101- PHASE I, IOWA AAP, IOWA SOL DACA45-95-B-0040 DUE 032995 POC Military Branch, 402/221-4266, Contracting Division. The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Construction of a two bay reinforced concrete structure attached to the southeast corner of an existing building. Work includes: concrete and masonry, rough and finish carpentry, structural steel, adding access ramps, overhead coiling doors, doors and windows, carpeting, gypsum wallboard, electrical and mechanical connections tapping into existing utilities to support new bays. Remodel an area of an existing building which will require demolition and removal of asbestos, new electrical, communications, lighting, central HVAC systems and interior finishes. Site work includes: grading, sodding, and excavation. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a February 22, 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request and receipt of payment of $32.00 per set (non-refundable) with check made payable to ''Omaha District, Corps of Engineers.''
