Attn: Jean Bretz Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation
and supervision necessary for the removal of wood cedar shingles and
building paper, storm doors, exterior doors and vinyl shutters. Provide
and install new wood cedar shingles and building paper, new storm
doors, new exterior doors and vinyl shutters, painting of all corner,
fascia and wood window sills, door jambs, garage doors, porch columns,
soffit and trim, and perform related incidental work. There are
approx. 16,680 s.f. of shingles, 20 exterior doors and 20 storm doors.
Estimated cost is between $100K and $250K. Solicitation packages
available on or about 02/28/95. A $20 non-refundable check/money order
made out to the USCG is required to obtain the bid package. Mail check

honored until supply is exhausted. This procurement is open to large
and small businesses (UNRESTRICTED). Bid opening is on or about 3/30/95
at place of issue. The following notice provides Information for
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises: The Department of
Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The
maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further information regarding
