This debris collection barge BD-9, shall be of steel construction, 40' x 18' x' 3'8'' with six (6) water-tight compartments (two (2) rake ends and four (4) intermittent compartments). It is to be built from a Government-furnished design provide under this contract. The barge will operate primarily in the Washington DC, area and the Lower Potomac River. This barge will be tended by a debris removal vessel performing daily debris pick-ups, and it will be responding to waterways within the boundaries of the U. S.
