The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking sources that can provide an Unwind/Rewind Stand to be retrofitted on an intaglio printing press. The stand will be used to process a web of postage stamp paper. The BEP intends to issue a solicitation for this requirement, however, in the interim the BEP is interested in receiving industry comments on a draft specification. Firms interested in this requirement are encouraged to submit a written request for a copy of the draft specification no later than fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this announcement. Telephone requests cannot be honored. Industry comments will be reviewed for technical merit and possibly incorporated into the final specification. The Government will not be obligated to pay for information generated as a result of this request. A copy of the solicitation, when ready for issuance, will automatically be sent to firms that respond to this announcement; however, the requirement will be resynopsized at a later date. (038)
