This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources or alternate sources for Data Transfer Module Receptacle, Smiths Industries part number 3263A and Data Transfer Module, Smiths Industries part 3245A13. The current source for the receptacle and cartridge is Smiths Industries Aerospace Division, Grand Rapids Michigan 49518. Detailed technical data for the manufacture and acceptance for these units are not available from the Army. The potential supplier(s) must be capable of providing both units together as a system. Potential supplier(s) capable of furnishing alternate systems must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-RD-C2-CM-LE (Mr. Michael Chen), Ft. Monmouth, N.J. 07703-5008. Only equipment that has satisfactorily completed field testing for this application will be procured. Responses must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or statement from the listed source, or ATCOM demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with units that will be physically and functionally changeable at the reapir parts level with the units that the current source supplies. Successful supplier(s) may be required to warrant that the items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
