Requires local donor facility to collect, process, label, store and transport red cells donations from VA patients, VA, Augusta, Georgia, Transfusion Service. Processing tests are to be included. Platelet Concentrates, random donor, estimated 1600 units per year. Requires local donor facility to supply random donor platelet concentrates to VA Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia, Transfusion Service. Products must be delivered or available for pickup so that delivery to the Transfusion Service will occur within 30 minutes from the time the order is placed with the supplier. Any platelet products received which have a shelf life of less than three (3) days will be credited if not used before expiration. All procedures, methods, protocols to be in accordance with FDA/AABB requirements. The contract period will be April 15, 1995 through April 14, 1996.
