Agency for International Development (USAID), Office of Population
invites applications for a competitively awarded cooperative agreement
to be funded under the Information, Education and Communication
Support (IEC) program . The purpose of this project is to enhance the
freedom of individuals to choose the number and spacing of their
children. The goal is to support the effective delivery of appropriate
information on family planning and reproductive health to developing
country audiences. A sub-goal is to improve the reproductive health of
women. The recipient awarded the cooperative agreement should have an
established reputation in this area. Those who submit their name and
mailing address (no phone requests will be accepted) will receive
Request for Application (RFA) No. M/OP/A/P-95-002 which USAID expects
to issue in Mid-March 1995. The facsimile number for submitting
name/address is 703-875-1107; please include the RFA number and direct
request to the POC named above. Issuance of the RFA will not be less
than 15 days after publication of this synopsis. Closing date for
applications will be approximately sixty (60) calendar days after
issuance. Additionally, This CBD notice can be viewed and downloaded
using the Agency Gopher. The RFA can be downloaded from the Agency
Gopher. The Gopher address is GOPHER.INFO. USAID. GOV. Select USAID
procurement and business opportunities from the Gopher menu. The RFA

confirmed by written notification to the contact person noted above.
