C -- ARCHITECT AND ENGINEERING SERVICES SOL 570-31-95 DUE 030795 POC Contact Point, WILDA DELGADO, (209)228-6351, Contracting Officer, GLORIA GARCIA, (209)228-6932 Architect Engineer Services are required for preparation of plans and specifications, including but not limited to Site Investigations, Preliminary Drawings, Working Drawings, Construction Cost Estimates, and related studies for the remodel of the basement of the Outpatient Clinic Addition, Building #1; Remodel existing trailers to create temporary general office space, while the vacated space is remodel to create new physicians/residents office space; 3 new patient exam rooms; and remodel restroom areas. The project includes compliance with code requirements for HVAC, ceiling materials, lighting, electrical, and mechanical. The A/E firms shall have a CIH as part of the design team. All interested firms must have Autocad capabilities. Each interested firm shall be evaluated on the following criteria (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) past performance on contracts with Government Agencies and Private Industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and complinace with performance schedules; and (5) location in the general geographical area of the project. Consideration is limited to firms having an existing active design production office within a 75 mile radious of the VAMC, Fresno, CA. At least one member of any proposed joint venture must have an existing design production office within the geographic limitation. Joint venture or firm/consultant arrangements will be considered and evaluated on a demonstrated interdependency of the member to provide a quality design effort. Respondents must demostrate capability to perform 80% of all contract services in existing production offices within the geographic limitation.
