The remodeled areas shall be configured to provide improved environment for both inpatient and outpatient activities. The project includes compliance with code requirements for HVAC, ceiling materials, lighting, electricalk, and mechanical. The A/E firms shall have a CIH as part of the design team. All interested firms must have autocad capabilties. Each interested firm shall be evaluated on the following criteria (1) professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2) specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; (3) capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) past performance on contracts with government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; and (5) location in the general geographical area of the project. Consideration is limited to firms having an existing active design production office within a 75 mile radious of the VAMC, Fresno, CA. At least one member of any proposed joint venture must have an existing design production office within the geographic limitation. Joint venture or firm/consultant arrangements will be considered and evaluated on a demonstrated interdependency of the member to provide a quality design effort. Respondents must demonstrate capability to perform 80% of all contract services in existing production offices within the geographic limitation. This solicitation is unrestricted. Interested firms are to submit SF 254 and 255's no later than close of business 3/7/95. This is not a request for proposal.
