D -- DEVELOPMENT OF MEDICAID DATA SYSTEM On or about February 24, 1995 the Nevada State Welfare division will release a Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit bids from contractors for the development of the Medicaid data system. The duties of the contractor will include but is not limited to: (1) review of the data definition developed by staff for the future managed care program; (2) analysis of the housing of the entire or managed care portion of the data system; (3) review of cost benefit to pursue a federally approved MMIS system or development of the managed care portion only: (4) writing of the Advanced Planning Document and obtaining federal approval; (5) writing of the RFP for the implementation contractor.
