The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: the two (2) garage doors serving the underground loading dock and parking garage are deteriorated and require replacement. Each new door must be installed on a different weekend to allow continous operation of the garage during the week. There is an existing security system which must be kept intact and will require some alteration and additional equipment when installing the new doors. In addition to the new doors, improvements must be made to the drainage system in the garage. New trench drains are necessary outside each new door (2). The existing storm drain piping under the driveway must be removed and a new storm line installed in the trench. The new line shall connect with the trench drains at opposite ends of the floor, and connect to the two existing manholes. These manholes shall be repaired to water-tight condition, fitted with pumps, and piped to the nearest operable drains. The five (5) small drains running next to the loading dock must also be connected to the new storm drain piping. Any trenching, pipe laying or paving repairs that interfere with the normal operation of the garage must be accomplished after regular business hours. The completion time for this project is One Hundred Eighty (180) calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. Specifications will be available on or about February 28, 1995. Sealed bids will be opened publicly on April 4, 1995, at 2:00 P.M. (Local Time). This project is being procured as a total small business set-aside. Bids are solicited only from small business concerns. Bids received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. The Small Business Size Standard for this project is $17 million.
