Provide all labor and materials required to replace the existing 250 ton centrifugal chillers with two new 250 ton non-cfc centrifugal chillers, units serving both buildings and located in chiller plant between 421 Gold and 123 Fourth Street in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Work includes, but is not limited to, replacing the existing chilled water; condenser water pumps, piping, valves and insulation; remove and replace cooling tower; install new condenser water treatment, additional piping and provide equipment modifications; add refrigerant monitoring and ventilation of central plant; extend controls to interface with Field Office's DDC system; remove/replace existing building items as required to create access for other contract work and for addition to the plant; seal wall openings around chiller plant; provide concrete and CMU addition to existing chiller room to house the additional equipment; provide modified/additional framing, walkway, stairs and railings for new tower; repair roof as necessary; add new flat plate exchanger; install new chilled water coils in units in 421 Gold attic space; remove existing DX coils and related equipment; and expand and upgrade electrical system lighting to provide the service required. All work is to phased and most or all work shall be performed after normal business hours and on weekends. Estimated cost range: $500,000 to $1,000,000. Pre- solicitation Notice will be sent on 2/10/95. This is a negotiated full and open competition procurement and will require submission of technical proposals in accordance with the solicitation. Proposal due date is on or about 4/20/95. A pre- proposal conference will be held at the site on or about 3/30/95.
