Kearney, (202)927-0386 The U.S. Customs Service intends to procure a requirements type contract for the acquisition of additional High Frequency Single Side-Band Network Systems (HF/SSB) in accordance with Customs Service Specification CMD-0025 dated 12/30/94. The Network consists of the following System items: (1) Fixed Station (FS), (2) Remote Command and Control (RCC), (3) Telephone to Radio Interface System (TRICS), (4) Marine and Airborne Mobiles (MOBILE), (5) Tracking and Communication System (TRACS), (6) Transportable, (7) Public Switched Telephone Network RCC (PSTN-RCC), (8) Fixed Station Transmitter Selector (FSTS), and (9) RCC Interface System (RCC-IS). It is the intent of the Customs Service to modify the existing operational radio network to be fully complaint with the new FED STD 1045, if adequate funding becomes available in the future. Contract period 10/1/95 through 9/30/96 with 4 option years. Response time to the RFP will be 45 days from the issuance of the RFP.
